TJ Maxx has joined the list of companies cutting ties with Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, following a series of antisemitic comments from the rapper and designer.
TJX Companies also operates Marshalls and Home Goods stores, in addition to TJ Maxx. The retailer said it will pull Yeezy-branded products from shelves.
The Gap, meanwhile, shut down YeezyGap.com, which now redirects to the main Gap store. Luxury fashion house Balenciaga has also cut ties with Ye.
Adidas on Tuesday ended its partnership with Ye, and retailer Foot Locker said it would pull Yeezy products from stores. The Adidas breakup caused Ye to lose his status as a billionaire, per reports.
Sketchers in a statement said Ye arrived at their Los Angeles offices “unannounced and without invitation,” apparently looking for a new shoe partner.
“Skechers is not considering and has no intention of working with West,” the company said. “We condemn his recent divisive remarks and do not tolerate antisemitism.”
