According to reports, Apple’s hiring and spending growth may decelerate in 2023.
Apple is still expecting aggressive product launches in 2023, including a mixed reality headset, its first new category since 2015, according to Bloomberg.
The adjustments won’t affect all of Apple’s teams, however.
The action is being taken as the tech giant prepares for a potential American economic downturn.
According to its most recent annual report, Apple has about 154,000 full-time equivalent employees as of September 25, 2021.
The tech giant’s action comes after rival Google announced it would reduce employment for the rest of 2022.
